Filmmaker • Ultra-Distance Runner & Race Director
Health & Wellness Advocate • Inspirational Speaker
I run mountains for the same reason I tell stories — to go further than what’s comfortable, and to bring others along for the journey.
I’m Toto Manie — filmmaker, ultra-distance runner, race director, wellness advocate, and public speaker based in Antique, Philippines. For over two decades, I’ve worn many hats, but they all point in the same direction: helping people move, grow, and show up fully for their lives.
FILMMAKER
My career in storytelling began at ABS-CBN Foundation, where I worked from 2000 to 2006. In 2005, I co-founded Filipino Pictures, Inc. alongside the late music icon Francis Magalona. With a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Adamson University, I came to film through an unconventional path — and that perspective has shaped how I tell stories.
Over 25 years, I’ve grown from soundman to editor, cinematographer, director, and producer. Film, for me, has always been about one thing: making people feel something that moves them to act.
ULTRA-DISTANCE RUNNER & RACE DIRECTOR
What started in 2010 as a simple shift from boxing to running became one of the most defining chapters of my life. Running taught me discipline, resilience, and the kind of quiet confidence that no shortcut can give you.
As a runner, I’ve completed:
- 🏔 Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) — Chamonix, France (2018), one of the most prestigious trail races in the world
- 🏅 H1: Hardcore 100 Miles Hall of Fame — completed the 160km race three consecutive years (2017, 2018, 2019)
- 💪 102km Bataan Death March Ultramarathon (2016)
- 🥇 CHAMPION – 1st Antique 50 Mile Endurance Run (2013)
As a Race Director, I’ve brought that same endurance mindset to building events in my home province of Antique — including the Antique Trail Marathon, Hangaway Ultra Trail, Antique Half Marathon, and A.T.A.T: A Taste of Antique Trails.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
In 2020, I returned home to Antique with my wife Bernice and our two children, Ramie and Seanna. That homecoming marked a deeper shift — from pursuing personal milestones to building something that could help others transform their own lives.
Today, I’m a wellness advocate and independent business leader with Yoli, focused on helping people take ownership of their health — physically, mentally, and financially. I lead and mentor a growing team of wellness entrepreneurs across the Philippines.
Wellness, for me, isn’t a product. It’s a practice — one I’ve been living on trails, film sets, and stages for over 20 years.
INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKING
My journey into personal development didn’t start on a stage — it started when I discovered Yoli.
What I thought was simply a path to better living turned out to be a doorway into something far bigger: a world of mentors, books, seminars, and conversations that fundamentally shifted how I see myself and what I believe is possible. For the first time, I wasn’t just training my body on trails — I was training my mind with the same intensity.
That exposure ignited a lifelong commitment to self-mastery. I became a student of growth — studying the habits, mindsets, and philosophies of people who refused to settle for ordinary. And the more I learned, the more I felt called to share it.
My belief shifted. I no longer see potential as something a few lucky people are born with. I believe it lives in everyone— waiting to be awakened by the right environment, the right challenge, and the right decision to begin.
That belief became my purpose: to impact a million lives.
And I intend to get there through everything I already love — running, filmmaking, and health and wellness advocacy. Three disciplines that, at their core, are about the same thing: showing up, going the distance, and bringing others with you.
- 🏃 Running teaches you that your limits are negotiable.
- 🎬 Filmmaking teaches you that every life is a story worth telling.
- 💚 Health & Wellness teaches you that when you feel better, you live bigger — and when you help others feel better, your impact multiplies.
I speak on resilience, purposeful living, positive mindset, and the courage to pursue an unconventional path. Whether on a stage, behind a camera, or at a start line, my message is always the same:
You were made for more. Now go live like it.
